Food Insecurity and Diabetes in Michigan

This map visualizes food insecurity and diabetes rates in Michigan’s counties. There is growing research in public health that points towards the relationship between low access to food and diabetes. I wanted to point out these relationships with this “Choropleth Challenge” map for my cartographic design course.
